Roles and Responsibilities

GEISA is an open specification so all parties are welcome to join and participate in the development of the specification and is expected to follow the guiding principles as define in the Mission Statement. Within the alliance include key members leading the GEISA work such as the Technical Steering Committee and support of advisors from LF Energy foundation.

Technical Steering Committee (TSC)

GEISA is led by its Technical Steering Committee that comprises the overall leadership of the group. It comprises of industry members who have a vested interest to ensure the success of the project. It is currently being led by its founding members, and efforts to expand this membership continue. Only the TSC members can vote to expand or contract the membership.

  • Responsibilities of the TSC is to provide technical leadership and direction, of the project. They are also the arbitrators for decisions that go into the specification if there is a disagreement on a specification. They are expected to join all the technical and organizational meetings or find an equivalent member of their organization to represent their views to vote accordingly.

  • Terms: TSC members once elected is expected to perform their responsibilities for a period of 1 year. After a 1 year membership, they may elect to request reelection from other members of the TSC approved by simple majority vote.

LF Energy Advisors:

Advisors from LF Energy provide project guidance and support for the GEISA effort in the form of legal, process recommendations, networking and marketing functions to help advance the project for success.
