LFX Mentorship - Hyphae Programs
Overview
With energy resources and infrastructure increasingly challenged to meet the coming impacts of climate change and natural disasters, Hyphae aims to make the grid more resilient and flexible with microgrids. By providing an Autonomous Power Interchange System (APIS), Hyphae automatically and efficiently distributes locally-produced renewable energy over a DC grid to interconnect with AC Grids. With resilient, physical peer-to-peer microgrid energy trading, even the most remote communities will be able to store and distribute energy autonomously without connecting to large-scale power stations or electrical distribution networks.
The LF Energy - Hyphae APIS program offers the following terms:
Spring-Term May 8, 2025 -Jul 24, 2025 :
This is a 10-12 week project that aims to stabilize APIS repositories and integrate the energy trading mechanism with enAccess PayGo Token (GitHub - EnAccess/OpenPAYGO-python ): Open Source ecosystem with hardware and software agnostic technology to enable Pay-as-you-go (PAYGO) functionality in any device and make products PAYGO compatible.
It relates to use cases raised by micro-grid communities needs in Cameroon.
Sponsorship Need - $6000
We are looking to raise $6000 for registration and travel expenses to OSEAS 2025 in Nairobi, Kenia(https://www.oseas.org/ )
