The specification is advanced by folks participating and contributing. We welcome you to join us and get involved.

Note: LF Energy uses Zoom by default, but many US utilities restrict the use of Zoom. The GEISA project uses Microsoft Teams to make it easier for utilities to participate.

Accounts

While it’s not strictly required, it helps to have some accounts set-up to participate in GEISA. Please note that your company does not have to join LF Energy to participate in GEISA, though they always welcome new members and we encourage you to join.

There are three accounts that are helpful to have:

LF Energy Accounts will allow you to manage mailing list participation and access LF Energy provided resources. A confluence account allows you to contribute directly and to provide written comments on the specification. A slack account allows you to chat about GEISA with other members of the workgroup.

Note: you can self-register for an account on the LF Energy Confluence page. If you don’t already have an account, in the upper right hand corner of this page is an icon that looks like a European exit sign (an arrow pointing into a doorway):

Clicking that icon will take you to a sign in page. From there you can sign in with an account from a big tech company (Microsoft, Google, Apple), or you can sign up using your email address. The email address option is a small link at the bottom.

Communication

GEISA uses mailing lists and slack for communications.

Note: The GEISA-Users email list is retired

Code & Specifications

GEISA has a github org available here: https://github.com/geisa

There are controlled repositories for the formal specification and the conformance test, as well as contribution repositories from folks that are experimenting with GEISA technologies.

Anti-Trust

All GEISA meetings are held under the auspices of the Linux Foundation and adhere to the foundation’s anti-trust policy which can be found at https://www.linuxfoundation.org/legal/antitrust-policy.
